I saw Alla's concert for the first time in my life. Of course, I was
prepered because I watched "Izbrannoje" like thousand times and I try to get
all the Alla' performances in tv (unfortunately in Poland there are only NTV
and ORT) but it's not the same to see Pugacheva on silver srceen than live
on stage. I tried to come down and don't expect too much :) It was a
greatest week in my life - I started with interview with Norwegian's the
most famous band a-ha, then I watched their great concert in from on 15.000
people in Berliner "Velodorm". Then I had only half of the day to get into
the Karlsruhe where I was supposed to meet Alex "Dracula" Kagalovsky,
webmaster of one of Alla-dedicated sites. Fortunately - trains communication
is very good in Germany and I had no problem with my travel. Then I met Alex
and his friend from Karlsruhe and I found both of them very charm and kind.
The "Schwarzdwalhalle", where the concert took place, is placed near to
train station and we had more than two hours for conversation. Both my new
friends complined on practicly zero promotion of this concert - and they
probably was right because I didn't notice any poster or commercial in the
city - even of the windows of concert halle. The doors were opened from
17.30 and e had like half of hour to drink something and buy stuff like CDs
(I bought "Madame Broshkina" with beautiful ballad "Candle burned..."),
photos, posters... The show started at the time and from the first second of
Alla' appearence I knew that I will love her more than before - no matter of
the rest of the concert. She had a amazing "aura" which makes her unique -
there could be a fire-storm all around and nobody from the audience wouldn't
notice that because everybody would be watching only her! I hope you
understand me... She started from the two songs that I didn't know
previously but after that she performed all my favourites - "Starting all
over again", "I'm leaving", "Insomnia", "Niepogoda", "White snow"... Every
one of them proved her voice's power and interpretation's highest class! She
is theatrical with all the shapes - I mean cabaret-style and drama-queen.
She is like a clown and a primadonna in one and she exactly knows what the
audience wants! I never saw such a strong on-stage-personality like she has
and - sorry to say that - she could be sing anything (even simple
"tra-la-la, boom, boom") and it still would be amazing. That's why on this
concert I liked even songs like "Madame Broshkina" or "Kaldun", which are
not my favourite when I play Alla' records in home! Another thing -
audience! People love Alla so so so much that I won't be even trying to
describe it! When she came down from stage to people I was afraid that they
could strangled her in the crowd. Everybody wanted to took the picture,
everybody wanted to touch her, everybody wanted to say her "I love you". It
was nice and touched same time.
